It has always been about joy.
The quiet joy of creating something with my own hands.
The joyful anticipation of a gift being opened.
The tears of new parents seeing their baby’s name for the very first time.
The excitement of grandparents, friends, and loved ones searching for the perfect way to say, “Welcome to the world.”
For me, joy isn’t just the destination—it’s woven into every step of the journey.
Every gift begins as an idea, becomes a design, and is carefully crafted into something that will hopefully become part of someone’s treasured memories. Knowing that something I created can bring a smile to a family during one of life’s most precious moments is a privilege I’ll never take for granted.
Ironically, my own journey into this world of creativity began from a profession that couldn’t have been more different.
I’m a teacher, specialising in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology—a career built on logic, precision, formulas, and problem-solving. I absolutely love teaching, but I discovered that my mind also needed a place where there were no right or wrong answers. A place where I could simply create.
Crafting became that place.
What started as curiosity with a Cricut machine soon became an obsession with learning. Laser engraving, new software, photography, videography, website design, social media, branding—each new skill opened another door I never expected to walk through.
When I started Qute Gifts in 2021, at 36 years old, I knew almost nothing about running a business or creating content online. Everything I’ve built has been learned one challenge at a time. Every mistake became a lesson. Every lesson became growth.
Looking back, I realise this journey has been just as much about creating myself as it has been about creating gifts.
Today, I still learn something new almost every day, and that’s one of my favourite parts of this adventure.
Most importantly, I’m grateful—to every customer who trusts me, values the time and care behind each piece, and allows me to play a tiny role in some of life’s biggest celebrations.
My hope is simple: that every personalised gift leaving my studio carries a little piece of the joy I felt while making it.
Because that’s what Qute Gifts has always been about.
Joy.
